Trip to Bethanchowk Solo Journey Theme: Part 1 09.19.2019

A year ago, in 2019, we visited Bethanchok for a quick weekend break. One of the best place for view and coolest places to go hiking around Kathmandu Valley is Bethanchowk, also known as Narayanthan, The hill is named as Narayanthan because of a sacred temple of Vishnu on the hill's top. According to the locals, the temple gets more crowdie on Fagu Purnima. Bethanchowk Hill at 3,000 m is the highest hill of Mahabharata Range in Kavre, a neighbor district of Bhaktapur. Also called as King of Hills, provides the best views of Himalayan Peaks, surrounding forested hills and valleys.

We are always looking for places that aren't famous or explored enough, but are lacking exposure and promotion. If you know of any such places or your village/hometown has such locations, do let us know. We'll be more than happy to visit and collaborate with you to promote such destinations.
